Fletcher, chapter president. Fletcher extended an invitation to all members of the faculty to attend the meeting in the Biological Sciences Lecture Room at 7:30 p. m. A&M President M. T. Harring ton gave his approval of an agency through which the college could avail itself of faculty counsel to an AAUP delegation. The AAUP’s committee on Fac ulty-Administration Relations will explain its proposal for a Faculty Advisory Council at the meeting. The advisory council would provide for direct two-way communication on questions of college policy be tween the faculty and administra tion. It would also consider matters brought to its attention by the col lege president, members of the council, or other faculty members. The AAUP was established to help create and maintain condi tions under which teachers can do their best woi'k in the classroom. Members of the local chapter’s committee to draw up plans for a Faculty Advisory Council are Chairman E. E. Liebhafsky, econo mics; W. F. Adams, mechanical drawing; J. Q. Hayes, English; L. S. Or spangle the top of the salad—after it is turned out— with pimento cut out with a tiny heart-shaped cutter. VALENTINE POTATO SALAD Ingredients: 9 medium-s i z e d potatoes (3 pounds), % cup real mayonnaise, 1 cup finely diced cel ery, cup finely chopped pimien- to, 1 teaspoon salt, % teaspoon white pepper, minced onion, 2 cups coarsely ground cooked ham, 2 ta blespoons finely chopped green pepper, 14 cup real mayonnaise, salad greens, radish _ roses, extra pimiento. Method: Cover potatoes (in their skins) with boiling salted wa ter; cook rapidly until tender. Peel and dice fairly fine. While pota toes are still warm, toss with % cup mayonnaise. Allow to cook then mix with another % cup may onnaise, celery, pimiento, salt, pep per and onion to taste. Mix ham, green pepper and cup mayonnaise. Line the bottom of a 6-cup heart mold with waxed paper. Pack one-third of the po tato salad in the bottom of the mold. Press another one-third of the salad around the sides of the mold. Fill center with ham mix ture. Pack remaining potato salad over ham. Chill thoroughly. Turn out on chop plate. Garnish with salad greens, radish roses and an arrow cut from pimiento strips. To serve, cut heart in half lengthwise; cut 4 to 5 wedges from each half. Makes 8 to 10 servings*. Note: You may wish to add more mayonnaise and salt to the potato mixture to suit your own taste.
