The Owls, on the rebound after losing to sixth ranked Kentucky and seventh - ranked Cincinnati, were in complete control of the Cadets for the entire game. Temple was last year’s third- place NIT team, returning every starter from the squad including two All-American candidates. One of their selections, Guy Rodgers, a red-hot 6-footer, engi neered the defeat. He paced the Owls with 22 points, which was high for the game. Neil Swisher, flashy guard from Victoria was the leading point pro ducer for the Cadets with 11 points. Temple has been named one of the best collegiate teams in the nation, and currently is ranked twelfth in the nation — the best team the Aggies were to face on their Globetrotter tour. However, in the second quarter the Farmers nar rowed the gap to seven points at 31-24, which was as close as they were able to come.
