Garden Club Has Program
On Chrysanthemum Culture
A&M Garden Club members
heard Mrs. J. E. Roberts talk on
chrysanthemums and their culture
at their meeting Friday in the
Memorial Student Center.
Introduced by Mrs. Eddie Baker,
Mrs. Roberts said that chrysanthe
mum culture has advanced very
rapidly in this country in the

other, the plants which had been
donated to members last year.
Mrs. Roberts received potted

Thankful” read by Mrs. Ran Bos

Claghorn is from Houston. The
father, who comes from Buenos
Aires, Argentina, is a senior in
entomology at A&M.

ounce baby girl, born Thursday at

Inter-Council Elect
New Officers Fri.
Neil Weldon, senior geology ma
jor from College Station was elec
ted president of the Inter-Council
Committee Friday night at their
first meeting of the year.
Dr. John C. Calhoun, dean of
engineering, oriented the group,
which is the coordinating body for
the schools of Agriculture, Arts &
Sciences, Engineering and Veter
inary Medicine.
Other officers elected at the
meeting were Don Cloud, vice-
chairman and reporter and Ken
Holleman, secretary and treasurer
Cotton Bowl Action
The Cotton Bowl ticket supply
for the public was oversubscribed
and the drawing will be held to
morrow to determine the order in
which applications will be filled
The mail sale of tickets over the
six-day period snapped up some
5,000 more than the 25,000 avail
able to the public.
The only tickets now available
will be from the 30,000 that go to
the two competing schools in the
Cotton Bowl game.
