Luecke, professor of the Department of Agricultural Chemistry, Michigan State Univer sity, will deliver a lecture on “Nutrition—Past and Present” to night at 8 in the Biological Sciences Lecture Room. The lecture is for all graduate students, faculty members, staff and other persons interested in animal nutrition. From 1943-45 Dr. Luecke serve*;! as a biochemist at the Texas Agri cultural Experiment Station. Dr. Luecke is noted for his contri butions to the field of animal nutrition. Jaggi Named New Vet Health Head Dr. F. P. Jaggi Jr. was recently appointed new head of the Depart ment of Veterinary Public Health. Dr. Jaggi’s promotion from pro fessor and assistant to the dean was confirmed by action of the Board of Directors of the A&M System at their meeting Friday. John Milliff was elected chairman of the Veterinary Faculty Ladies of A&M when they met re cently at the home of Dean and Mrs. A. A. Price. Election of Mrs. Charles Bridges as secretary-treasurer also took place during the meeting. The year’s schedule was planned and hostesses for the monthly meetings, named. A general business discussion followed with reports from com mittees. Delicious refreshments of cake and coffee were served by the hostess dm-ing the social hour. Mrs. Price was assisted in serving by the Mesdames John Milliff, Leon Gibbs, Richard Davis and C. W. Schulz. Creamed dishes are often served^ restaurant style, with “t o a s t points.” To make the points, toast thin slices of white bread and cut each slice into four triangles.
