R. F. Buck’s sermon at Sunday morning wor ship. His regular weekly broad cast will he heard at 7:30 a.m. Sunday school teachers will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28. At the Zion Church in Kurten, the Rev. Buck will preach at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, with Sunday school immediately following. CHRISTIAN SCIENCE SOCIETY “The wisdom of basing thought on constructive, perfect, spiritual models” will be emphasized at Sunday services. Keynoting the lesson-sermon en titled “Mind” is this passage from Romans 11:33: “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearch able are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!” ST. THOMAS EPISCOPAL CHURCH The Rev. Roger Gilley, student chaplain, will deliver the sermon at the morning prayer service at 9:30 Sunday. Iced tea will be served in the parish hall after the service. Long shore’s sermon Sunday morning will be “Recruits for Christ.” OUR SAVIOUR’S LUTHERAN CHURCH AND STUDENT CENTER ‘Do You Open Your Eyes and See?” (Luke 19:41-48) has been selected by Eugent Kruse, intern, as the subject for his Sunday morning sermon. ,A Luther League meeting is scheduled for 7:30 ja.m. at the Center. Schedule of meetings for next week includes a Sunday school teachers meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tues day at the Center and a meeting of Evangelism District No. 3 at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Richter, 507 Thompson South, College Station. Thursday, Aug. 29, the choir will pi’actice from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the church. This will mark the beginning of regular Thursday evening practice for the group. The chapel, located at the North Gate, will have a seating capacity of G50. Work Progressing On Catholic Chapel The 1957-58 school year should see the completion of a new St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel, now un der construction at the corner of Church Ave. and Stasney St. at the North Gate. The chapel, begun the latter part of May, will be a memorial to Msgr. J. B. Gleissner, who for 46 years was pastor of St. Joseph’s Church in Bryan and Catholic chaplain to A&M students. Of colonial style in accordance with the wish of the Monsignor, the structure will be of steel and masonry construction, with an ex terior of red brick. Wooden columns will support the entry portico, and a white porcelain enamel tower will reach to a height of 90 feet. The front of the building will feature a me morial plaque designating the ded ication of the chapel to Msgr. Gleissner, who died in 1953. Cost of the structure will be ap proximately $280,000. R. B.
