‘Originals’ By Newcomers
“My Fair Lady” will step out
in high fashion Wednesday after
noon when Newcomers Clubbers
model their own creations in a
stylie show at 2 o’clock in the
assembly room of the Memorial
Student Center.
In keeping with the show
theme, taken from the popular
Broadway production. “My Fair
Lady,” Mrs. Jack Mowery, accom
panied by Mrs. Frederick Wilhelm,
will sing “On the Street Where
You Live” and Miss Ann Hite will
dance an original interpretation of
“I Could Have Danced All Night.”
Background music and a solo,
“Clair de Lune,” will also be of
fered by Mrs. Wilhelm.
Decorations for the seated tea
will include “stylish” Easter eggs,
and spring flowers will adorn the
stage.

A RUN-OFF MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN
THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION ON
TUESDAY, MAY 7, 1957, FOR T H E
ELECTION OF A COUNCILMAN FOR
WARD III: FIXING THE TIME, PLACE
AND MANNER OF HOLDING THE
ELECTION AND APPOINTING JUDGES
AND CLERKS THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council
of the City of College Station, Texas:
A run-off election shall be and the sam«
is hereby ordered to be held on the first
Tuesday in May, 1957, the same being May
7, for the purpose of electing a Councilman
for Ward III, of the City of College Sta
tion, Texas. »
The election will he held in the Council
Room of the City building and the follow
ing persons are hereby appointed managers
of said election, to-wit: Mrs. Fred E.
Smith, Judge, and Mrs. Walter H. Dela-
plane and Mrs. W. S. Edmonds, clerks.
The polls shall be opened promptly at 8
o’clock A M. and shall be closed promptly
at 7 o’clock P.M.
The election will be held under the pro
visions of the laws of the State of Texas
governing run-off elections, and only duly
qualified voters who are residents of Ward
III of the City of College Station shall be
allowed to vote.
A copy of this ordinance, signed by the
Mayor and attested by the City Secretary
shall, when posted at one public place in
the City of College Station, serve as prop
er notice of said election.
