mation” has been selected by the
Rev. William C. Peterson as his
sermon subject. Again this Sun
day an early morning worship
will be conducted at 8 a.m.
St. Thomas Chapel
The Rev. Roger Cilley will de
liver the sermon at the morning
prayer services at 9:30 and 11 a.m.
Morning prayer is also planned
for 8 a.m. Prom 10:30 to 11, a
coffee hour will be held in the
Parish Hall.
Faith Evangelical and Reformed
Church
A “Festival of Thanksgiving”
to mark the fact that the church
is now self-suppoi'ting and no long
er dependent upon subsidization
by the national hoard is planned
for this Sunday. Instead of a ser
mon by the Rev. R. F. Buck, the
western field secretary of the board
of national missions, the Rev.
Henry Damm, will speak on “Na
ture and the Task of the Church.”

Student Union vespers will be the
Rev. John Mauser, ’44, who will
deliver an address, illustrated with
slides, on his missionary work in
Arizona. The Rev. Mauser, who
works among the Pima and Mari-
capa Indians of Ai'izona, is as
sociated with the Home Mission
Board of the Southern Baptist
Convention. He has held his pres
ent position since April 1954.
First Baptist Church
The morning worship service at
11 will be conducted by the Rev.
R. D. Longshore. Church School
begins at 9:40 a.m., and the Train
ing Union will meet at 6:15 p.m.
Evening worship is at 7:15 p.m.
Christian Science Society
Sunday’s lesson-sermon, entitled
“Everlasting Punishment,” will
emphasize how spiritual under
standing of God’s goodness over

The regular three masses are

The good thing about this is that Dan
and Betty and those other youngsters
too are here, in Church, because they
want to be!
No one made them come. No one told
them that they had to. No one threat
ened punishment if they didn’t.
Though outside it is a bright sunny
day and the woods and fields and streams
beckon, they are here, in God’s house, at
prayer.
They’d like the country and the world
to know that despite all this alarming
“juvenile delinquency” there are good
teen-agers too.
There are teen-agers who have been
instructed in the Christian way of life,
and who have discovered what the
Church can mean to them.

tor on earth for the building of
characfer and good citizenship. It
is a storehouse of spiritual values.
