Relates Travels
To Study Club
CAMPUS STUDY CLUB
members really felt they had
taken a trip around the globe
after listening- to an illustra
ted talk by Dr. M. T. Har
rington, Chancellor of A&M Sys
tem at Tuesday’s first regular
meeting.
Dr. Harrington told the purpose
of his trips, the places visited, and
the length of time spent in each
place. He also told of homes he
visited in Honolulu, Tokyo, and
Hongkong, and gave news of people
from A&M who are in Pakistan.
Numerous colored slides of places
of interest ranging from pineapple
harvesting in Hawaii to ancient
ruins of Rome and castles in Scot
land.
Two officers were elected during
the business meeting. Mrs. R. B.
Alexander, corresponding secre
tary, and Mrs. Silvio Navarro,
treasurer, will assume the new
duties.
New members admitted into the
club are Mesdame Joe Bruce, R. L.
Anderson, Mont Whitson, Lewis C.
Westbrook, A. M. Sorenson, Bob
Alexander, C. Prewit, Clarence
Moore, and Jarrell D. Gray.
Social Whirl
ARCHITECTURAL WIVES SO
CIETY has called off the social for
Friday night and meet instead on
Oct. 24 for a social meeting in the
South Solarium in the YMCA at
7:30 p. m.

A bingo party for Tuesday at 8
p. m. is slated by the DAMES
CLUB. Each member is asked to
bring a “white elephant” gift for
prizes. Hostesses for the evening
will be Elaine Wardlaw and Pat
Van Hula.

AGGIE BAND WIVES CLUB
held a copperware party Wednes
day night at which Louise Hair
demonstrated the utensils. Carol
Speer was hostess for the meeting
held in the YMCA South Solarium.
Attending were band wives and
friends. The next scheduled meet
ing will be the first Tuesday in
November.

will meet tonight at 7:30 for the
weekly card playing in the MSC.

WIVES Club elected temporary of
ficers to preside until the Oct. 30
election. Janet Lancaster is serv
ing as temporary pr’esident and
Patricia Locke is temporai’y secre
tary. Eighteen members were pre
sent at this week’s meeting. The
group meets Oct. 30 at 7:30 in
Room 2C of the MSC.

STRATION WIVES Club will be
held Tuesday at 6 p. m. at Hensel
Park. Couples are asked to bring
tbeir own lunches. The club will
furnish cokes, coffee and cookies.
