1 PAGE 6 Thurs., Sept. 6, 1956 THE BATTALION College Station, Texas Methodists To Entertain New A&M Students Families of the A&M Meth odist Church in Colleg-e Sta tion will play host to several hundred new A&M College students of Methodist affilia tion or interest at a banquet and reception Sunday evening. Dinner will be served at 6 p. m. from tables set up on the church lawn, according to It. L. Elkins, reception chairman. Each family will bring enough food for itself and a minimum of six Ag gie guests. On hand to greet the students along with the congregation and members of the official board will be the Rev. Nolan R. Vance, pastor, and the Rev. Robert C. Monk, director of the Wesley Foundation. An orientation meeting and vesper service will be held in the Wesley Foundation building following the dinner. Assisting with arrangements are G. E. Madeley, Dr. R. B. Kamm, John Pruitt", Dr. John Kincannon and Ray Oden, the fellowship com mittee of the official board, and members of the WSCS. Custodial Course Now Being Held A supervisor training course for custodial supervisors employed on the A&M campus is being held here this week. The special course, in troduced for the first time on the campus, is conducted by the super visor training department of the Engineering Extension Service. The 30-hour school will provide instruction on such topics as how to teach employees their jobs, job responsibilities, and human rela tions. Requested by Lawrence P. Cob ble, chief of custodial services, and J. K. Walker, superintendent of the Building and College Utilities De partment seven supervisors are at tending the courses. They are C. A. Holden, Henry Baker, J. C. Wilson, Milton Williams, Don Bi'ogdon, James L. Rosier and H. R. Sea. Social Whirl Officers Wives Club held its monthly luncheon and bridge meet ing today at the Oaks at 12:30 p. m. Hostesses were Mrs. O. C. Mc Intyre, Mrs. M. D. Welty, and Mrs. E. C. Vike. Aggie Couples Bridge Club will hold it next meeting on Sept. 21 at 7:30 p. m. in the YMCA. Lucile and Joe Prior will be hostess and host. Winners at the last party held Aug. 31 were Harry Hearne, high man, and Dianne Baker, high woman.
