Fatal Fallacies

"Whew! That was close!’
BLUE RIBBON—Gene Sutphen, owner of the Aggieland
Studio, poses with his blue-winning portrait entitled
“Twins” at the 43rd Annual Convention of the Texas Pho
tographers Association in Houston. Sutphen’s ribbon was
one of 11 awarded in a print competition of more than
1,000 portraits entered in that class. The “twins” are the
four year old daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Frank McFarland.

and is president of the Bryan-Col-
lege Station Rotary Club, of which

Beta Kappa, Sigma Xi and Phi
Sigma fraternities.
Morgan At Camp
Dr. David H. Morgan, president
of the college is visiting the Quar
termaster ROTCf summer camp at
Fort Lee, Va., this week.

Methodist Roster Completed
The roster of officials, board
members, commissions, and trus
tees at the A. & M. Methodist
Church in College Station is now
complete for the 1956-1957 oper
ating year according to the Rev.
Nolan R. Vance, pastor.
Immediate officials ai'e Mrs.
Paul Andrews, church secretary;
W. M. Turner, music director; Carl
Moehlman, organist; Gordon Gay,
superintendent of the Sunday
School.
Chairman of the Official Board
is O. D. Butler. Other official
board officers are Neal M. Ran
dolph, vice chairman; Louis J.
Horn, secretary; Raymond C. Jones,
treasurer and O. D. Butler, lay
leader.
Seven committees have been or
ganized under the official board.
One of these is Buildings and
Grounds, headed by Tinman R.
Jones. Members are Jarvis Miller,
Sam Cleland, Don Young, Leslie
Hawkins, Bill Cooley, I. M. Atkins,
and Ed Holdredge.
Ushering and Welcoming will be
under the chairmanship of Gordon
Gay. Members of that committee
are M^rc Davenport, Ran Boswell,
T. R. Richmond, I. W. Rupel, Ross
Strader, and Barney Welch.
