E. Hamm Mrs. Texas A&M MRS. C. E. HAMM, 906-A Welsh: “My wife should be Mrs. Texas A&M because she has become a part of A&M as much as I. She alone has made it possible for me to wear a senior ring. Shirley is a mother, homemaker, and provide!’ all in one. She is the captain of our family team. She can also cook hamburger 1001 ways. A mother’s place is in the home, but Shirley gave up being with her nine-month-old son Ron, all ray to work and provide our income. She is always encouraging hut she is stern when the grades begin to slide. Many times she has stayed up late to help me with homework. Sometimes, when I am I’unning late, Shirley helps me throw my paper route. Nowhere else could you find a wife, who helps a hus band in so many different ways. Although she is tired a lot of times, she can always find time for her clubs and church. You can’t say how much someone means to you in 150 words, hut all she likes to hear in return for her help is only three words—I love you. Oh, yes, she will become a mother for the second time in August.” ★ ★ MRS. GLENN C. It is with great pride that I take this opportunity to publicly nomi nate my wife, Da Lee, as Mrs. Texas A&M.” 15-X College View: “As husbands we often forget the real part our wives play in helping us to secure a college education. My wife has been a provider, a mother, and an inspiration. “Coming to college means giving up ceitain material things. To provide the essentials while in col lege is the problem faced by most married students. Besides working and providing for her share of the expenses, my wife has made me the proud father of two children—a boy and a girl. I can tiuthfully say that she has never been more successful in any role then she has been in the role of a mothex*. She has, from day to day, been an inspiring influence on me and our children. Four years in college without hex* would he a long, tedi ous grind. To me she is the typi cal Aggie wife.” ★ ★ MRS. THOMAS J.
