Reports were presented by Dr. Les Richardson, superintendent of Consolidated schools to the board members. The librarians salary is a bonus unit salary paid by the state. Dr. Richardson told of the plan to diversify the training program in physical education to include driver training, offer more elec tives and increase intra-school competitive activities as enroll ment rises. Dressing facilities will be provided by next year, and plans for landscaping the campus will provide more suitable facilities for outdoor activities. “We are considering offering an advanced mathematics course,” he said, “for high school students who have special aptitudes for mathe matics.” Plans were considered for Eng lish to reduce the teaching loads of high school teachers to four periods per day in order to enable them to accept and grade more written work and increase the time that students spend in high school English classes. Next to Post Office Miss Jean Graham Gives Concert Tonight Recital Set For Tonight At 8:15 By Pianist Miss Jean Graham, who has been hailed by music critics as outstanding among Ameri ca’s younger artists, will give a concert at 8:15 tonight in Stephen F. Austin Auditorium in Bryan. Her appearance here is part of this season’s concert pro gram sponsored by Bryan-College Civic Music Association. Miss Graham, who made her pro fessional debut as soloist with the Chicago Symphony at fifteen, has played with the Big Three among American orchestras; the Boston Symphony, the Philadelphia Or chestra and the New York Phil harmonic Symphony. The young pianist made her New York recital debut at Town Hall in 1950 and has appeared on broadcasts over both the NBC and Mutual networks. During the last two seasons Miss Graham has played well over a hundred concerts in the United States and Latin America.
