Every student is invited to par
ticipate, whether a member of the
Bridge Committee or not. The
Tournament begins Feb. 23.
All play will be by mail and will
be conducted on the individual col
lege campuses in a single session.
Hands will be returned to commit
tee headquarters to be scored.
Prizes will include trophy cups
for the colleges winning the na
tional titles, one cup for the college
for the pair scoring highest on the
East-West hands and one cups for
the college of North-South hand
winners. The four individual na
tional winners will receive a small
er cup for permanent possession.

complete all the requlremebts for a degree
by the end of the current semester should
call by the Registrar’s Office NOW and
make formal application for a degree.
March 1st is the deadline for filing an
application for a degree to be conferred at
the end of the current semester. The
deadline applies to both graduate and
undergraduate students.

with revival services and student

St. Thomas Episcopal Chapel
Holy Communion followed by
breakfast was held at 6:30 this
morning and Ash Wednesday Holy
Communion was held at 10 a.m.
Canterbury Association will meet
tonight at 7:15.
B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundation
Services will be held at 7:15 to
night in the YMCA. Emil Wulfe
and Melvin Kalmans will present
a report on “The Scope and Needs
of the U.J.A. Program.” The meet
ing will close in time for those
who wish to attend Town Hall.
Christian Science Society
Services will be held tonight at
8 in the church
St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel
Ashes will be blessed and dis
tributed after mass at 5:15 today.
The church signs the foreheads of
the faithful with ashes in the form
of a Cross reminding man of the
shortness of life, enkindling the
thoughts of eternity, and symbo
lizing repentence and its necessity
for salvation.
Confessions will be heard before
the Mass. During Lent the time
of Mass will remain the same:
every morning at 6:30 except Wed
nesday when it is offered at 5:15
p.m. Also every Friday night at
7:15 there will be Stations of the
Cross and Benediction.

Steve Love will be in charge of
the worship program which will
begin tonight at 7, followed by
committee meetings. All persons

AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN
AREAS WITHIN THE CITY DIMITS.
FIXING TIME OF PTJBDICATION AND
PUBDIC HEARING.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Cuncil of
College Station, Texas:
Section i. Upon recommendation of the
City Zoning Commission, the following de
scribed area is hereby changed from Dis
trict 3 (Apartment House District) to Dis
trict 4 (Business District) as defined in
Ordinance No. 38:
Beginning at a stake in the south comer
of P. D. Gettys Estate property, this being
in the northeast line of Highway No. 6;
thence in a northwesterly direction along
the northwest property line of Highway
No. 6 a distance of 371.3 feet to a corner
stake; said comer stake being the common
property line between Nat C. Worman and
D. W. Brittain: thence in a northeasterly
direction along the common property line
between Nat C. Worman and D. W. Brit
tain for a disance of 125 ftet; thence in
a southeasterly direction and parallel to
State Highway No. 6 a distance of 371.3
feet to a corner stake; thence in a south
westerly direction and parallel to the com
mon property line between Nat C. Worman
and D. W. Brittain a distance of 125 feet
to the point of beginning be rezoned to
District 4. First Business Distrct.
Section 2. That a public hearing shall be
held in the City Hall at 7:00 p.m. February
27. 1956.
Section 3. That a notice of said hearing
shall be published in the official city news
paper at least fifteen (15) days prior to
said date of said public hearing.
