Two wives clubs schedule meet
ing's for the week while two others
announce election of officers for
the Spring semester.
DAMES CLUB will meet at 8
tonight in the YMCA for a social
meeting.

night in the Agricultural Engi
neering Building. Members will
hear J. A. Bass present a book re
view on “Homecoming.”

left to play, A&M Consolidated’s
Tigers fought off a strong chal
lenge by the Tomball Cougars to
down their hosts, 37-35, last night
in Tomball to tie Katy for the Dis
trict 25-A title.
Coach Larry Hayes’ Tigers lost
their chance to take the champion
ship outright last Friday, losing
to Katy, 37-36, in Katy.
Consolidated held u 36-26 lead
but could score only one point while
the Cougars, with three of their
regulars out of action, dropped
through nine straight points to
pull within two points of the Tig
ers, but the game ended before
Tomball could regain possession
of the ball.
The Tigers meet Katy here Wed
nesday, journey to Katy Friday
for the second game and the third
game, if needed, will be played in
Hempstead.

Plans Activities
The mid season executive board
meeting of the Federation of Tex
as A&M College Mothers’ Clubs
was held last week in the Memor
ial Student Center.
Plans were made for the Feder
ations coming spring activities and
for the next meeting of the Moth
ers’ Clubs in May. Mrs. F. C. Olds
of Abilene, president of the feder
ation, presided.
J. Wayne Stark, director of the
MSC, met briefly with the board
to discuss the mothers’ clubs pro
jects for the Center this year.
Others attending- were Mesdames
David H. Morgan, honorary presi
dent; J. D. Lindsey, Frank Mil-
stead, Leo L. Fuchs, Frank Gold-
stone, C. H. Rydell, Paul Holladay
and O. O. Mattiza.
