Social Whirl
Officers were elected recently
for the newly formed Range and
Forestry Wives Club. Holding the
office of president is Cathy Jame
son. Assisting her as secretary-
treasurer is Jane Grelen.
The wives will hold their Christ
mas party at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at
Hensel Park. Due to the holidays
the club will not meet again until
Jan. 9.

Band Wives Club will have a
called meeting tonight at 7 p.m.
at the home of Barbara Duncan at
310 Park Place in College Station.
Christmas party plans will be dis
cussed.
The Christmas party will be held
Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Moth
er’s Club Lounge of the YMCA.
Coffee, cake and hot chocolate will
be served.
Names were drawn at the last
meeting, and couples will exchange
presents. The Christmas tree will
be decorated at this party.

The Business Wives Club will
hear Mrs. Renee Abbot speak on
Beauty Care at their meeting Mon
day. Scheduled for 8 p.m. at the
YMCA, the club will discuss their
Christmas party planned for Dec.
19 and will hear reports on their
recent cake bake.

Electrical Engineering Wives
Club will meet at 8 p.m. Monday
in the social room of the Memorial
Student Center then go in groups
to the home of Gardner Osborn for
their Christmas party.
Mfs. Frank McFarland will pre
sent a Christmas story entitled
“The Husband of Mai’y,” a fiction
storv about Joseph.
Members are asked to bring a
gift of not more than 75 cents.

Geology Wives Club will meet
at 8 p.m. Mondav in the Geology
Building to practice caroling and
discuss their Christmas party.
The group, with their husbands,
will tour the hospitals Dec. 12
caroling. The Chi’istmas party is
scheduled for Dec. 10.

Industrial Education Wives Club
will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at
the home of Mi’s. Leslie Hawkins,
1004 Dexter, for their Christmas
party.

Mechanical Engineering Wives
Club will hold their Christmas
party at 7 p.m. Saturday in the
social room of the Memoi’ial Stu
dent Center.
The semi-formal dinner dance
will feature fried chicken, potato
salad, rolls and coffee. Punch will
be served to the couples during the
evening.

Club will meet at 7:30 p.m Mon
day in the YMCA to make decora
tions for their Christmas partv
Dec. 1G, and complete plans for the
occasion.

O’Henry’s “Full House” will be
presented by the Film Society Fri
day. Dec. 1. The show will start
at 7:30 in the Memorial Student
Center Ballroom. Stars of the
show include Marilyn Monroe,
Richard Widmark, Jean Peters, Os
car Levant, Jeanne Crain, Fred
Allen and Anne Baxter.
