Kittens End Season
Tonight at Home

Aftei 1 wrapping-up the District
25-A junior high championship last
week by crushing Madisonville, 39-
0, the A&M Consolidated Kittens
finish their season tonight on Ti
ger Field against Hearne. Game
time is 7:30 p.m.
The Kittens boast a 6-0-1 won-
lost slate this season, and meet
Hearne in a non-district go for the
second time this year. In their
last meeting Consolidated walloped
Hearne 26-0.
Only a 19-19 tie with rugged
Huntsville mars the otherwise per
fect Kitten record.
The starting offensive line-up
for the Kittens tonight includes
left end Ronny Ray, left tackle
Larry Godfrey, left guard Ken Ca
sey, center Brenner Sayers, right
guard Joel Mills, right tackle How
ard Mitchell and right end Ben
Jackson in the Kitten’s forward
wall.
Buddy Holick directs the team
from his quarterback post, Tom
my Bramble and Dee Smith hold
down the halfback positions, and
Jimmy Wright starts at fullback
The Kitten line-up shows several
changes on defense. Harold Alford
goes in for Casey, Fred Wright
takes over Sayer’s position and
Condy Pugh relieves Jimmy
Wright.
D-Field Smashes
Sqd. 21, 23-10
Harry McBrierty’s 10 baskets
paced a hustling D-Field Artillery
over Squadi'on 21 in upperclassmen
basketball yesterday, 23-10.
Jim Boyer was the second high
est scorer with seven points. Wayne
Lybecker and Phil Beeson collected
four and two points respectively.
Other D-FA players were Dan
Winship, Jerry Rhea, Bob Smith
and Jim Spencer.
Paul Carroll sparked the Sqd. 21
scoring with four baskets, followed
by Richard Smith and Larry Wash
burn’s three each. Others in the
Sqd. 21 line-up were Robert Sears,
Don Garner and Bob Jewell.
