BOBBY DRAKE KEITH—Was named the Lineman of the
Week by the Dallas News for his outstanding performance
against Alibi U. last Saturday night. Keith caught two
TD passes, and blocked a punt that led to another, in the
21-3 triumph over the Cougars.
Why do more college
men and women smoke
Viceroys
than any other
filter cigarette?
Because only Viceroy
gives you 20,000 filter traps
in every filter tip, made
from a pure natural substance
found in delicious fruits
and other edibles!

Yes, only Viceroy has this filter composed of 20,000 tiny
filter traps. You cannot obtain the same filtering action
in any other cigarette.
The Viceroy filter wasn’t just whipped up and rushed to
market to meet the new and skyrocketing demand for fil
tered cigarettes. Viceroy pioneered. Started research more
than 20 years ago to create the pure and perfect filter.
Smokers en masse report that filtered Viceroys have a
finer flavor even than cigarettes without filters. Rich,
satisfying, yet pleasantly mild.
Viceroy draws so easily that you wouldn’t know, without
looking, that it even had a filter tip . . . and Viceroys cost
only a penny or two more than cigarettes without filters!
That’s why more college men and women smoke VICEROYS than
any other filter cigarette . . . that’s why VICEROY is the largest-
selling filter cigarette in the world!

Varsity Sharpens Attack for Nebraska;
Fish Battle TCU Wogs Tonight at 7:30
— By RONNIE GREATHOUSE
Battalion Sports Editor
A&M’s Varsity sharpened
its offensive weapons yester
day afternoon in a short, but
boisterous, scrimmage while
the Aggie Fish took things
easy.
The Fish open their five ganie
schedule tonight at 7:30 p.m. on
Kyle Field against the tough
TCU Wogs. Admission is free to
student activity card holders.
With ailing quarterback Bobby
Conrad determined to play Satur
day against Nebraska’s fired-up
Cornhuskers, the Aggies will be
almost at full strength again.
Conrad Recovering
“Conrad’s still favoring his leg,
or so it looks to me,” said Coach
Paul Bryant,” but he says he’s
gonna’ play Satui'day. We’ll see.”
When Coach Bryant asked Con
rad why he was favoring his leg,
injured in practice before the LSU
game, Bobby replied, “Aw, it’s
just a habit I have. I could feel
something once or twice the other
day, but it’s alright now.”
Still on the injured list are
tackle Henry Clark, a starter
against UCLA, and ends Roger
Hobson and Dean Meeks. Fullback
Cliff Hamby, who had seven
stitches taken in his face after be
ing cleated in the University of
Houston game, will definitely be
able to play against Nebraska.
A&M’s well-conditioned squad
has had no serious injuries in any
of its game so. far this season. In
fact, none of the trainers have had
to make a trip onto the playing
field to see about a player. All
this has given “Smokey” Harper,
A&M’s renowned trainer, some
thing to worry about.
“Looks like I’m gonna’ be out
of a job ’fore the season’s over,”
drawled Harper.
Donnie Grant and Conrad alter
nated at the man-under positions
on the No. 1 and 2 varsity units
yesterday, while Jimmy Wright
and Don Watson took charge of
the third team.
Teaming with Grant and Conrad
on the first team were halfbacks
John Crow and Loyd Taylor, and
fullback Jack Pardee. George Gil-
lar alternated with Pardee at full
back.
First Team Line
Ends Gene Stallings and Bobby
Drake Keith, tackles Jack Powell
and Charles Krueger, guards Dee
Powell and Jim Stanley and center
Lloyd Hale made up the first
team’s line.
Keith was named Lineman of the
Week by the Dallas Morning News
for his spectacular play against
Houston last weekend. He caught
two touchdown passes and set up
another by blocking a punt.
“He did everything except take
up tickets,” remarked Coach Bry-
