Page 4 THE BATTALION ~ Wednesday, September 28, 1955 ' New Wives Council Elects Officers Gardner Osborn, repi’esenting the Electrical Engineering Wives’ Club, was elected president of the Aggie Wives Council. The council, which originated this summer, is made up of the presi dent and a representative of the wives clubs. So far approximately 17 clubs have been represented. Other officers elected were Bar bara Cloninger, Bridge club, vice- president; Joy Jones, Business club, secretary; Beverly Humphries, Dames club, treasurer; Kathy Nei nast. Business club, parliamentar ian; and Barbara Duncan, Band club, reporter. The council is planning a bowl ing league between the separate clubs. Members of the league will meet with John Geiger, manager of the bowling alley, 7:30 p.m., Tuesday in room 2-A of the MSC. Geiger will give instructions on form, rules and procedure for new comers in bowling. Anyone interested should sign up for the league through their Dance Registration At the registration held Monday night, 197 students signed up for the Memorial Student Center danc ing classes. Registration will be open for two more weeks, accord ing to Mike Kuich, chairman of the dancing class committee. particular club. Capers Combo will play for the Council dance to be held Nov. 19 Tickets of $1.50 per couple go on sale in October. Next meeting of the Council will be held Oct. 10 at the home of Mrs. Robert Kamm, sponsor. Any club who has not sent a representative to the Council, is urged to attend the next meeting. It is the Council’s hope to form a harmonious unity between the wives clubs, sponsor socials for all wives clubs combined, and make an over-all list of all student wives for the benefit of club member ship.
