The only common foe A&M and
Arizona had this year was Sul
Ross. The Wildcats met Sul Ross
twice early in the season and won
easily both times, 7-4 and 23-1.
A&M split a two-game set with
Sul Ross at Alpine, 6-7 and 4-1,
during the Easter holidays.
Eleven Arizona players slugged
over the .300 mark in season play.
Pitcher Don Lee had the best mark
with .450. He came to bat 40 times
and gathered 18 hits.
Third baseman Craig Sorenson
was next in line with a .425 aver
age in 36 games.
