Thomas, who is undefeated this
season with an 8-0 slate. Last
year Thomas tied the strikeout re
cord for one game in the NCAA
playoffs at Omaha with 14. The
6-5, 240-pound junior was a mem
ber of the U. S. all-star team in
the recent Pan-American games at
Mexico City.
Benny Rincon, one of the few
seniors on the Arizona squad, has
the second best earned run aver
age on the team with 1.44. In the
past two seasons he has won 16
games and lost only two.
The Aggie-Arizona series will
be held under the lights of Travis
Park in Bryan, Monday, Tuesday
and Wednesday of next week.
Games begin at 8 p.m.
Winner of the District 6 play
offs will enter the NCAA tourna
ment at Omaha, Neb. beginning
June 14.
Tickets to the games are $1.50
for box seats, $1 for general ad
mission and 50 cents for students
with I.D. cards.
