The Lutheran Student associa
tion of Our Saviour’s Lutheran
church will meet Wednesday at 7:15
p.m. and have a meeting honoring
their mothers. Thursday at 7:30
p.m. the Brotherhood will meet and
use the theme “The Congregation
and Higher Education” for the
program. There will be a mothers
and daughters banquet Friday giv
en by the Women’s Missionary
society.
Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. will be
the prayer meeting. The Ladies
Bible class meets at 10 a.m. Thurs
day.

time the order is placed. The Ring Clerk
Is on duty Tuesday through Saturday from
8:00 A. M. to 12:00 Noon to accept orders.
Delievery of these rings will be made on
or after August 1, 1955. Normally they
will be mailed to the owners for an addi
tional charge of twenty-five cents; however,
they may be delivered to the owners who
prefer to accept them at the Registrar’s
Office.

EXERCISES
All civilian students who are candidates
for the degree of. Doctor of Veterinary Med
icine will wear the doctor’s cap and gown.
Ph.D. Candidates are also required to order
hoods and leave them with the Registrar
no later than 1:00 p. m. Tuesday, May 17.
The Ph.D. hoods will not be worn in the
procession since all such candidates will be
hooded on the stage. Candidates for the
Master’s and Professional degrees will
wear the master’s cap and gown; those who
are candidates for the Bachelor’s degree,
except military students, will wear the
bachelor’s cap and gown. All military stu
dents who are candidates for degrees will
wear the appropriate uniform.
Rental of caps and gowns may he ar
ranged with the College Exchange Store.
Orders may be placed until April 30, hut It
is desirable to place them as early as pos
sible. The rental Is a follows: doctor’s
cap and gown $3.90; master’s cap and
gown $3.60; bachelor’s cap and gown $3.30-

bled, and Ablon’s sacrifice ad
vanced them a base. Then Stock-
ton slapped an 0-2 pitch high off
the left-centerfield fence for a
double to score them.
Payne’s single and Bob Boggan’s
homer in the sixth cut the lead to
4-3. SMU got two on with one out
in the eighth, but Gene Golden
hit a sharp grounder to Boring at
short, who started a double play.
The choir of the A&M Christian
church will have a picnic Wednes
day at 5 p.m. at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Phillip Goode, 1211 Orr
St. The Sunday School teachers
will meet on Thursday.

The A&M Presbyterian church
will have its annual picnic Wed
nesday at 5 p.m. at the country
home of Mr. and Mrs. C. I. Miller,
Highway 6 south. The Fellowship

Vespers are at 7 p.m. Tuesday,
Thursday and Friday at the Wes
ley foundation. The Rev. Bob
Monk will lead the Wednesday 7:15

The Bible Study class will meet
at 7:30 tonight at the First Bap
tist church. Supper will be at 6,
teachers meeting at 6:30 and the
prayer meeting at 7:15 p.m. Wed
nesday. The men’s prayer service
is at 7 a.m. Thursday. Coffee and
doughnuts will be served follow
ing the service.

p.m. at the Baptist Student cen

Ag Bowlers Win
Four Titles Here
A&M bowlers took four titles
but Oklahoma A&M won the team
championship of the fourth annual
intercollegiate bowling tournament
held in the MSG last weekend.
Bill Hummel, Ed Goodman and
John Redden were the Cadet win
ners. The Sooners scored 2,671
points in taking the team title.
Hummel bowled the high game
of the tourney, a 228. Goodman
won the singles title with 584 and
teamed with Redden to win the
doubles title with 1,067. Redden
was the all-events champ with
1,708.
