Local Churches Schedule Weekend Services
Christian Science Services
Sunday school will be at 9:30
a.m. “Doctrine of Atonement”
will be the sermon-topic for the 11
a.m. Sunday service. The Golden

Tuesday at 9:45 a.m. over the
“How Christian Science Heals”
WTAW broadcast, “Victory Over
Lack” will be the theme of the
program.
Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints
Sunday services will be held at
IQ a.m. in the YMCA chapel.
St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel
Sunday masses will be at 7, 8:30
and 10 a.m. Confessions are from
6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday and be
fore masses. Coffee and dough
nuts are served in the St. Mary’s
Catholic Student center between
the 8:30 and 10 a.m. Sunday mass
es.
A&M Christian Church
Sunday school wil be at 9:45
a.m. and the morning service at

A&M Presbyterian Church

The Presbyterian Student league

Birth Announced
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde W. Johnson
have announced the birth of a son,
Clyde Woodrow Johnson jr. Clyde
jr. was born at 10:12 a.m. on April
12 in the Bryan Hospital and
weighed seven pounds and 13
ounces. The Johnson’s reside at 601
old highway 6 South.
There will be a meeting of the Texas
A&M Chapter of the American Associa
tion of University Professors Thursday
April 14th in the Cabinet Room in the
YMCA. The officers for the coming year
will be installed following which a program
consisting of twelve 5-minute talks by men
from different college departments will be
held. The subject of these talks will be the
jobs which these men held with Industry
last summer. At the conclusion of these
talks a member from the college placement
office will he present to sum up the pro
gram and answer questions. Inasmuch as
summer employment is one of the major
problems here the program should prove
highly informative and Interesting. Ail
members of the teaching staff are cordially
invited.
