The sermon will be “The Crucifixion”, colored slides will be shown. * * * Week day mass is held each morning at 6:45 at St. Mary’s Catholic chapel. Wednesday even ing service is at 7:15. After the Wednesday service the Newman club meets at St. Mary’s Student center. * * * Holy communion and breakfast will be served at 6:30 a. m. to morrow at the St. Thomas Chapel. Maunday Thursday services will be at 7:30 p. m. There will be a holy communion and meditation at the service. Good Friday sexvices will be held from noon until 2 p. m. on the meditations on the last words of Jesus on the Cross. * * # There will be a meeting of the church council tonight at 7:30 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran church. Maundy Thursday communion ser vice will be held at 7:15 p. m., the pastor’s theme will be “Jesus On the Cross”. The Good Friday wor ship will be at 7:15 p. m. the pastor’s theme being “Jesus In The Grave”. Saturday at 9 a. m. will be the children’s confirmation instruction and at 3:30 p.m. there will be an egg hunting party for the children of the church school. James Wade will lead the Wednesday prayer meeting in the Church of Christ, at 7:15 p. m. 3* The Rev. R. L. Tumlinson of the College Heights Assembly of God Church announced there will be the regular Wednesday prayer meeting at 7:45 p. m. and Satur day meeting, this week. jhc 3*c h Prayer meeting will be at 7:30 p. m. Wednesday at the Church of the Nazarene. The Friday evening visitation service will also be held. * * * Vespers willl be held at 7 to night in the Wesley foundation. There will be a breakfast and com munion at 6 a. m. tomorrow. A dis cussion will be in the program on “Beyond Personality” by C. S. Lewis. * * * There will be a teachers meeting at 6:30 p. m. Wednesday at the First Baptist church but no other services, the Rev. R. D. Longshore ahnounced. A&M Consolidated Lists Honor Roll A&M Consolidated high school released the fourth six weeks hon or roll last week. Students in the twelfth grade on the honor roll are Jerry Oden, Bill Little, Elsie Richards, Betsy Bur- chard, Eugenia Rush, Bonnie Car- roll and Travis Englebrecht. Stu dents in the eleventh grade are Marilyn Davis, Margaret Berry, Marcia Smith and Bobbie Miller. Students on the honor roll in the tenth grade are Donald Patton, James Martin, Dali McCannon, Maurice Olian, Larry Leighton, David Webb, James Couch, Jo Anne Walker, Mary Frances Ma lik and Ronald Gandy. Miss Mowery, who is twelve- years-old, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin C. Mowery, and is a piano student of Mrs. J. B. Baty. She entered the National Guild of Piano Teachers Auditions last year Miss Anita Joy Mowery Social Whirl The newcomers club will have a bridge and canasta party at the home of Mrs. George Huebner at 1010 Walton. The party will be at 2 p.m. and Mrs. T. J. Kelley will be the hostess chairman. Baby sitting arrangements may be made by calling Mrs. George Reid at 6-2396. High School Chorus : Receives High Rating The A&M Consolidated high school chorus, directed by Robert L. Boone, received a division I rat ing in concert and sight reading at the region V interscholastic league contest. The contest was held in Galena Park on March 19 with 42 counties attending.
