Church Briefs
Wednesday Services Scheduled
The Wednesday evening worship
service will be at 7:15 at Our Sa
viour’s Lutheran church. Sermon
topic for the Lenten service will be
“On The Way To Golgotha.” Chil
dren’s confirmation instructions
will be Saturday at 9 a.m.
The junior confirmation class
Will be this afternoon at 3:45. Holy
communion and breakfast will be
served at 6:30 a.m. tomorrow and
Lenten seiwice will be at 7:15 p.m.
tomorrow in St. Thomas’ Episcopal
chapel. A covered dish supper will
be held in the Parish hall at 6:15
before the service.
Prayer meeting will be at 7:30
p.m. Wednesday at the Church of
the Nazarene.

Murray Milner will lead the
A&M Presbyterian Fellowship pro
gram tomorrow at 7 p.m. There
will be visitation in the dorms aft
er the program. Cecil Ozan and
Jasper Lynn will lead the group.
Supper will be at 6, teachers
meeting at 6:30 and prayer meet
ing at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday in the
First Baptist church. The men’s
prayer service is held each Thurs
day morning at 7. Coffee and
doughnuts are sei ved following the
service.

Baptist Student union vespers
are held each weekday evening at 7.
Bill Martin, A&M student, will
lead the Wednesday prayer meet
ing at 7:15 p.m. at the Church of
Christ. Thursday at 10 a.m. the
Ladies Bible class will meet and
discuss the later Old Testament.
Week day mass is held each
morning at 6:45 at St. Mary’s
Catholic chapel. Wednesday eve

Assembly of God.
The B’nai B’rith Hillel Founda
tion will meet Wednesday night
at 7:15 in rooms 2A and 2B of the
Memm-ial Student Center.
Dwayne S. (Dub) Bailey, sopho
more business major from Port
Arthur, yesteiday was elected
president of the Baptist Student
Union Executive council for 1955-
56 school year.
Other officers are Gene Ander
son and Neil Weldon, enlistment
vice-presidents; Gerald Thornton,
social vice-president; Tommy Har
ris, devotional vice-president; Bill
Childers, secretary; Bennie Sin
clair, program director; Jerry
Weatherby, publications director;
and Glenn Wistrand, missions di
rector.
Bailey will spearhead the organ
ization, which represents the 1,700
Baptist students on the campus.
He seived as secretary of the BSU
this year, and is a member of the
varsity wrestling team and the
Business and Accounting society.
He is the music director for the
Rock Prairie Baptist church, of
which he is a member.
Installation of officers will be
held Apiil 17 at the First Baptist
church of College Station.
