Church Briefs
Foreign Students Honored Wednesday
Wednesday at 7 p.m. the A&M
Presbyterian church will be host
to the annual party honoring stu
dents of all nations. Two foreign
students and one American student
will talk to the congregation on
“The Contribution My Religion
Makes to World Brotherhood and
Peace.’'
Talks will be made by Ahupendia
Doctor, a Hindu from India; Moha-
med A. Zeitoun, an Islamlite from
Egypt; and Godfrey Emmett, a
Christian from Long Island, N.Y.
The choir will sing special
Christmas selections and will be
led by Frank Coulter.
Refreshments will be served by
the ladies of the church in the rec
reation room of the YMCA after
the service. The foreign wives
will be honorary hostesses of the
pai-ty.
The Rev. Charles Workman has
asked that everyone feel welcome
to attend the service.

The student organization of the
Christian Science services will meet
at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The Aggie Walther league of the
Bethel Lutheran church will meet
at 7 p.m. Wednesday and hear the
Rev. William C. Petersen give the
topic, “Worship of Mary.’’
Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. “The
Coming of Christ’s Kingdom of
Glory” will be the sermon at the
vesper and holy communion serv
ice.
The Hillel foundation will meet
at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday in the Me
morial Student Center in room 2A
and 2B.

The Rt. Rev. Charles Oliver will
continue the revival each night
this week at the Church of the
Nazarene. He has announced that
Friday night at the 7:30 service
will be youth night. His topic will
be “For Whom The Bells Toll.”

Pageant Getting Ready
Preparations for the first Com
munity Christmas pageant here
are going* into their final week, as
the committees and casts for the
full-length Biblical and modern
drama began to consolidate their
work.
Groups of the production, in
cluding the 43-member dramatic
cast and the 30-member chorus,
have been rehearsing separately.
The final dress rehearsal will be
from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday in Guion
hall.
The performance will be at 8
p. m. Sunday in Guion hall. Ad
mission is free.
“The show will probably not ap
peal to children below the fifth
grade level,” said Mrs. David H.
Morgan, general chairman of the
pageant. “It is definitely adult
fare.”

The American Veterinarian Med
ical Association Student Wives
auxiliary will have its December
meeting Wednesday in the Memo

Band Wives Club
To Meet in YMCA
The Band Wives club will meet
at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the south
solarium of the YMCA and have as
guest Mrs. Armstrong Price of the
A&M Garden club.
Hostesses for the meeting, Mrs.
Lena Douphrate and Mrs. Bai-bara
Duncan, have asked that each mem
ber bring greenei-y and small
Christmas ornaments so that each
may make an arrangement of her
own. Members are also asked to
bring canned food and gifts for
the Christmas basket.
Jewish Meeting
The Jewish Women’s club of Col
lege Station and Bryan met at the
home of Mrs. Norman Abramson
and had as their guest Harry Ran
kin who reviewed the book “The
Gentle House.” The club will meet
Jan. 6 and have a covered dish sup
per.

the A&M Christian church.

of God Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Ata
Taylor will lead the sing-song.
The Saturday night service will
be at 7:30.
The regular Wednesday services
will be held at the First Baptist
church, supper at 6 p.m., teachers
meeting at 6:30, and the prayer
meeting at 7:15.
The RA and GA will meet at
6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Thursday at 7 p.m. will be the
Men’s Prayer service and also the
dormitory visitation.
Friday the Two by Two class will
have its annual Christmas party.
The beginner class will have a
Christmas party at 3 p.m. Satur
day and the junior class will have
a dinner banquet at 6 p.m. The
young people’s class one will
Christmas caroling at 7 p.m.
Prayer meeting will be at 7:15
p.m. Wednesday at the Church of
Christ. The Ladies Bible class will
meet at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Baptist Student union vespers
will be at 7 tonight and Bill Ha-
dens will preside at the service.
It will be the beginning of a new
Bible study series, I Timothy be
ing discussed by Cliff Harris, BSU
director. There will be a brief
song service led by Woody Rice.
The church council will meet to
night at - 7:30 at Our Saviour’s
Lutheran church.
There will be a meeting of the
Lutheran Student association Wed
nesday at 7:15 p.m.
The annual Christmas Party of
the Women’s Missionary Society
will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
