Goode said freshmen would real
ize good grades would determine
his future rank if he lived with
the other three classes. Freshmen
would start studying hard earlier
so they would have a better chance
for rank, he said.
Under the committee’s plan, a
rigid CQ (call to quarters) would
he enforced. The committee be
lieves this would also help fresh
men and sophomores make good
grades. It would abolish the at
titude of a small minority who
now cause disturbances during
CQ, Goode explained. He said he
believed all trouble on the campus
was caused by a small minority
and did not represent the attitude
of the majority of students.
He cited the flooding of Ross
Hall and the hanging in effigy of
Col. Joe Davis, commandant, as
examples. Goode said he did not
believe members of the junior class
took part in these acts.
