In class AA the finals will have

ingston game matched with the
winner of the Waxahachie-Camer-
on tilt.
The finals will start at 7 p.m.

division yesterday in intramural
mat action. Defending upperclass
man heavyweight champ Delbert
Davis, Co. C, gained the heavy
weight semifinals with a 25 second
pin of Barnett, Maroon Band.
Storing up a 10-1 lead on points,
Gay had little trouble as he took
Haddock, ASA, in 3:47. Cameron
notched a 2:31 fall from Condon,
Sq. 4.
In his semifinal scrap, Davis will
meet Huff, E FA. Huff decis-
ioned Zuchero, A Ath., 3-1. Max
well, A Arm., battles Winkler, A
Ath., in the other semifinal match.

In Houston Meet
Undefeated in team competition,
the A&M fencing team travels to
Houston tomorrow from an indiv
idual meet at Rice sponsored by
the Amateur Fencers League of
America. Rice, University of Hous
ton, Galveston, and the Houston
“Y” will compete against the
Cadets in foil, epee, and sabre.
Sweeping all events, the Aggies
brushed aside Texas, 18-9, here in
a team meet Saturday. A return
meet is tentatively scheduled for
April in Austin. The maroon and
white swordsmen took foil, 6-3,
epee, 7-2, and sabre, 5-4. They had
previously had outscored Tarleton
St., 34-17.

have their annual barbecue and
scholarship presentation March 10

For Two Matches
P. L. Downs Jr. Natatorium is
the site of two swimming meets
this week end.
The Consolidated High School
boys swimming as The Brazos
County High School Team will
compete with Odefesa High at
10:00 a. m. Saturday morning.
Odessa will again swim as they
meet the strong Aggie freshmen
at 2:30 p. m.
Swimming for the Brazos Coun
ty High School Team will be Wal-
lie Penberthy, high school state
breaststroke champion and Tom
Barlow, high school state back-
sti’oke champion.
The Aggie freshmen offer three
outstanding swimmei’s: Judson De-
Vilbiss who won first in the 50
ft. fi’eestyle against the T. U.
freshman last Satui’day; Gayle
Klipple, who won the 200 ft. free
style against T. U.’s fx-eshmen and
then captux-ed the 150 ft. Individ
ual Medley x-elay title; and Geoi'ge
Parr, who won the 100 ft. Breast
stroke against the T. U. freshmen
last Saturday evening.

Johnson, A Ord., copped a place
in the upperclassman 157 pound
finals with a 4-2 decision over De
Wald, Sq. 11, in the crowd-pleaser
of the day. Johnson will mept the
winner of the Dodd, Sq. 11 and
Hughes, AAA, bout.
Taking a 2-0 lead on a take
down at 2:10, Johnson had to fight
back in the last two minutes after
De Wald knotted the score at 2-2
25 seconds later. Johnson scored
the winning points on a near-fall
at 3:50.
In a 137 pound bout Birkhead,
Sq. 7, counted a 6-3 win over Boy
kin, White Band, to grab a semi
final berth against Rowland, Sq.
11. In the other semifinal Har
rington, Maroon Band, fights An
drews, B FA, after taking a 9-6
decision from Groom, A Inf.
A 3:45 pin of Taylor Green, Sq.
7, handed Beattie, A Efi£>;., a semi-
finalplace in the 130 pound class.
He battles Fisher, A Eng., in an
inter-outfit scrap. Fisher pinned
Brents, A TC, in 2:30.
Shaw, Sq. 3, piled up a 5-2 lead
in the first three minutes and
coasted to a 5-2 decision oyer Van
Pelt, Sq. 13, in a 191 pound quar
terfinal bout. He is paired against
Gerloff, White Band, in the next
round.
Van Hoqsier, C FA, nailed a 3:47
fall on Sessions, A Sig., in a 191
pound quarterfinal pairing.
Rathbone, Sq. 24, broke a score
less deadlock at 4:10 to take 1-0
win from Hall, Co. B, in a fresh
man heavyweight bout.
