Benson Aware Of Falling Prices WASHINGTON, Jan. 29—>_ Secretary of Agriculture Benson told farmers today he is fully aware of declining agricultural prices and will use the price sup port powers of the government to help stabilize fa.rm markets. This assurance came after a number of congressmen had ex pressed concern over the agricul tural situation and had asked the new GOP farm chief and his aides to consider the matter immediate ly- Benson, in a formal statement, did not take as grave a view of the farm price outlook as have some others, particularly farm leaders in Congress. Chairman Aiken R-Vt of the Senate Agriculture Committee and Sen. Young R-ND have said at recent committee heai-ings that the farm situation now bears many resemblances to the situation prior to the serious farm depression of the 30’s. Young has been particularly in sistent that Benson commit him self to continuance of present high level price supports, scheduled to exph’e at the end of next year. This Benson has declined to do. • GROCERIES • 1 POUND CAN FOLGER’S Coffee «6e LIBBY’S—No. 2 CANS—CRUSHED Pineapple .... 2 cans 55c LIBBY’S—303 CANS Pear Halves ... 2 cans 53c LIBBY’S—46 OZ. You never mistake the meaning of a Church spire. Even to those who are cold to the ideals for which the Church stands, that finger of faith always points to something that is comforting, reas suring, safe. The very presence of a Church, whether in a crowded city street or on a quiet country road, is a bene diction to all, including those who are not conscious of worship. Such an influence, with what it means to those who open their hearts to truth, is worthy of a second thought. It merits acceptance as a refuge. It commands confidence as a port in time of storm. The Church deserves your support —your membership—because it af fords real protection for the family whose welfare it is your duty to de fend and whose proper upbringing is your solemn obligation. i: College Station’s Own Banking Service College Station State Bank NORTH GATE Central Texas Hardware Co. COLLEGE STATION THE CHURCH FOR ALL . . . ALL FOR THE CHURCH The Church is the greatest fac tor on earth for the building of character and good citizenship. It is a storehouse of spiritual values. Without a strong Church, neither democracy nor civilization can survive. There are four sound reasons whv every person should attend services regularly and sup port the Church. They are: (1) For his own sake. (2) For his children's sake. (3) For the sake of his community and nation. (4) For the sake of the Church, itself, which needs his moral and ma terial support.
