Prophet’s Birthday
The same revelation which urg
ed Jesus and Moses to become
phophets and guides among people
was the inspiration for the Pho-
phet Mohamed, said Dr. Mahmoud
Hoballah, director of the Islamic
Institute of Washington, D. C., to
about 200 students and faculty
members celebrating the prophet’s
birthday.
In a letter read Friday in the
MSC by Dr. T. F. Mayo of the
English department, Dr. Hoballah
explained Mohamed’s purpose on
earth and his life. Hoballah, who
was scheduled to be the guest
speaker, sent his speech to Mos
lem students here who were spon
soring the affair.
Following the reading of Dr.
Hoballah’s letter, a movie, “The
Cradle of Liberty,” was shown. It
described the three religions in
existence, which Moslems recog
nize as time religions of God.
These are Christianity, Judaism
and Islam.

culture student from Cairo, Egypt,

next year, we could certainly use
some tackles and ends,” he said.

the corps as well as the people
