Purdue will take to the air lanes
and roll over the Wolverines, 40
to 7.
Michigan State will continue its
gridiron victory streak with a win
over Purdues’ Boilermakei's. The
Old Gold and Black of Purdue will
be the strongest competition to
face the mighty Spartans so far
this season, but it won’t be strong
enough with'the Spai’tans winning
by a 27 to 7 margin.
Number two ranked ’Maryland
takes on the Boston University
Terriers, but won’t have much
trouble. The Tei'rapins have too
much of everything and will win
25 to 7.
IN THE BAG (SEEMINGLY)
Oklahoma over Iowa State
Kansas -over Kansas State
Florida over Auburn
San Jose State over Stanford
In the South the big attraction
will be the Georgia Tech-Duke
battle which pits two of the top
ten teams in the nation with the
Bag’
Yellow Jackets ranked fifth and
the Blue Devils in the sixth posi
tion.
It will be a close game and the
Duke Blue and White holds the
edge in the series, but Georgia
Tech looks like the winner, 13 to 6.
Tennessee plays the lowly North
Carolina Tarheels and won’t have
any trouble, the Volunteers being
one of the top teams in the south.
When the smoke has cleared the
score board will read, Tennessee
12, North Carolina 6.
Pennsylvania meets its’ state
rival, the Nittany Lions from
Pennsylvania State in a game
which is a toss-up, as far as we
are concerned. The Quakers have
the home field advantage and we
give them the edge in a close one,
6 to 0.
Virginia’s Cavaliers met with
defeat at the hands of the Blue
Devils of Duke last Saturday, but
will start a win streak over thq
South Carolina Gamecocks, 27 tc
13
Princctons’ Tigers will take «
Browns’ Bruins by 20 to 6.
