Glenn Lippman, All-Southwest
ern performer of the fighting Ag
gies, will be the principal speaker
at the Dec. 6 meeting of the Bat-
Aggie....
Russ Hudeck
Tackle
Many of those 375 yards rushing
against the Steers came through
gaping holes opened by the bull
like drives of Hudeck.
talion Quarterback Club. This is
the final meeting of the year of
the Quarterbacks.
Films of the Aggie-Longhom
thriller will be shown at the meet.
The film is in color and Lippman
will comment on the film as it is
unreeled. Coach Ray George was
originally scheduled to speak at the
meet, but is out of town attend
ing the SWC Coaches and Officials’
meet in Dallas.
This will be the last chance for
A&M students to see the 20 grad
uating seniors of the team in ac
tion. Every senior on the team
starred in the A&M-Texas clash.
Gary Anderson made a game sav
ing tackle late in the fourth per
iod. Russ Hudeck was vicious with
his blocking and tackling; Raley
of the Longhorns made a pass at
Russ, who stands six foot five, and
Raley was promptly knocked flat
for his poor show of sportsman
ship and, in our opinion, poor show
of judgment.
Others who starred were Yale
Lary, who made two touchdowns,
punted exceptionally well and was
a superb defender; Glenn Lippman,
who rolled up 174 yards rushing;
Billy Tidwell, who scored a touch
down and put Dillon out of the
game with a flying head-hold that
saw Dillon lifted clear of the
ground and slung out of bounds
head first; Johnny Salyer, who
tackled like a tank and intercepted
a crucial Longhorn pass; Darrow
Hooper, who kicked the game win
ning field goal and extra point;,
Dick Gardemal, who quarterbacked
flawlessly in the greatest game
of his career and showed he had
real guts by calling a fourth down
quarterback sneak on the Aggie
24-yard line and earned a new ser
ies of ball control downs for the
Cadets; Charlie Hodge and Eric
Miller, a pair of wingmen, who
made impossible catches of Cadet
aerials to keep the Aggie drives
going; and Elo Nohavitza, Hugh
Meyer, and Alvin Langford, who
opened up that hole for Gardemal
in that fourth down try in the
fourth period; Buddy Shaeffer who
played his usual great defensive
game; and all the other Aggies,
who showed that never-say-die
spirit for which Aggielarid is
known world-wide.

Aggie Victory
Filmed in Color
Color films of the Aggie vic
tory over the invaders from the
“Forty Acres” will be shown
Thursday at the final meeting
of The Battalion Quarterback
Club. The meeting will begin
at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, in the
Assembly Hall.
Halfback Glenn Lippman, who
turned in an outstanding per
formance in this final game of
his college career, will narrate
the movie.
With this film the Quarter
back Club ends the 1951 sea
son. The next meeting will be
held following the first Aggie
game of the season in 1952.
W. T. Rush
Guard
Playing his last game for the
Maroon and White, Rush gave a
stellar performance in the stir
ring win over the Longhorns.
