MANITZAS Scoring the winning penetration on a center buck after Joe Perry had blocked an attempted punt by A Quartermaster, A Infantry regained their title as Flag Foot ball champs from last years wln- here A QMC. Jack Turcotte of the Infantry played his regular top par game gam* f th* on the defensive platoon o' L , pnddlefeeet, who-used the two pla toon system throughout the en tire game. •! A Infantry used the cross block, center buck, and delayed center buck through centifr exclusively during the game with Art QOrnjan acting as the man under and call ing the plays. Don Hickman, Bill Christy, and Russell Waterhouse formed the remaining backfield for the Infantry. Yeager sparked for the Quarter-^ master team that lost their first football game in the last two years. James Mitchum, Bob Shubert, and tto Yelton also turned in com mendable performances for the quartermaster squad. Bobby Por ter, the QMC’s regular/ parser, broke a metatarsal bphe in his hand and was unable’ t<> play; thus handicapping the QMC in a great way. With the playoffs complete in the fall semester intramural events, A Infantry provided the only double win for the semester, thus gaining the lead in the race for the Intramural flag. The basketball playoff was iwon by D Infantry who defeated E Air Force in the finals after five and half minutes of overtime play. A Infantry won the cross-country run as well as the Football flag. -E Field Artillery are this years horseshoes champs. The next events in the intra mural program include wrestling, team handball, and boxing. Boxing will not begin until after the end of the basketball ! season. ; J:. ji LIT.
