viously held the top executive
post at A&M. Each in his own
way contributed to the growth
of the college in its initial sev
enty-five years. And the names
of most of them have been in
grained into the soul of Aggie-
land. Three, especially, rank as
outstanding—Lawrence Sullivan
Ross, “Founder of Aggie Tradi
tions;” Gibb Gilchrist, present
Chancellor of the A&M System;
and Frank C. Bolton, 41-year
faculty member and present
President Emeritus.
