faster Egg Hunt Set for Wednesday
The College StatlofC Itefreatlon
Council wtll sponsor the revival of
the annual Luke Patranella Easter
Eijrg Hunt for the children of the
College Station" area Wednesday
afternoon at 1:45. This hunt is
JjLfl 1 open to the pre-school children and
j' children In the first four grades
of irraram&r school.
The eggs will bo left In the park
south of the Gilchrist home and
east of the pre-fab vet village.
They will be left for the Negro
children oh the football field at
the colored high school at the same
time.
The Washington Cathedral’s Eas
ter service will be on the air from
6:30 a. m. until 7 a. m.; the Holly
wood Bowl Easter service from 7
a. m. until 8 a. nf.; and the Trini
ty Choir of St. Paul’s Chapel from
8 a. m. until 8:30ia. m.
The Easter story will be presen
ted on “The Greatest Story Ever
Told” which is broadcast over
WTAW at 5:30 Sunday evening.
The two Easter theme programs
will be presented by the American
Broadcasting Company's storytell
er, Ted Malone, on Wednesday and
Friday at 10:30 a. m.

Attend Bond Meet

Chancellor Gibb Gilchrist of the
A&M System has returned from a
recent organisational meeting of
the central bond advisory commit
tee of Texas higher educational In*
stitutlona held in Dallas.
The purpose of the meeting waS
to begin plans for the issuance of
bonds to finance the building pro
gram of higher stale institutions,
Heven educators from colleges
and, universities 'throughout Texas
make up the committee. In addi
tion to Ullchrlsj, A&M was also
represented by (3. G. Krueger of
the A&M Board of Directors, and
W. It. HolKinann, comptroller of
the College.
The Committee announced that
at a,later date they would discuss
and appropriate money that will
finance higher state educational In
stitutions.
