am Charlie Opersteny, Kish third
j!iH||the baseman, started off the la,st of
' A ' a ies, the fifth inning when he grabbed
a walk of pitcher Walt Deakln.
Less Lackey then sacrificed and
Mills walked to put runners on
first and third. Ogletree then
scored Opersteny on a Rice in
field error. Farmer then hit into
a double play to retire the side.
Owl shortstop, Doyle Beard, ex-
Lamar High (Houston) product,
seemed badly confused on his field
play. The young star, who is play
ing with a plate ini his right heel
from an old baseball injury, muff
ed .the easy ones but turned two
good hits into outs.
The Fish will next play in Waco
this Saturday when they meet a
strong squad from Baylor. The
Bear Freshmen are reported to
have a tough team and should be
|wo.' real competition for the Aggies.
