House Considers Plan to Split AUSTIN, March 29 A plan toi split up the University of Texas available fund among 14 colleges was sent to a House subcommittee early Monday night, when hearing was completed by the second committee of this session which has heard it. Vote was 5 to 4, with Chairman R. B. Spacek of the school dis tricts committee casting the de ciding vote. Named to a subcom mittee to further study the pro posed constitutional amendment were Representatives Ridgeway, Hardee and Shell. Representative James J. Norton Jr., a university student, who had persuaded the nouse to recall the resolution from the constitutional amendments committee and send It to tile school districts groups, declared during the hearing that he is “pretty sure” to leave the university and transfer to Baylor next yeaL He said the fight to split up income of the university’s endowment “will go on." Chancellor Gibb Gilchrist of the A. and M. College system, and President T. 8. Painter, and Vice President J, C.
