- TU Basketball -
(Continued from Page 2)
of a night of Texas University
basketball sportsmanship. There
were other minor demonstrations
such as general booing and
whistling during free shots, rid
ing the referees, and jeering the
Aggies attending the game.
In short, students and support
ers of the University of Texas,
you have three gentlemen playing
on your basketball team. The oth
er two, your extra attending ath
letes, and most of your student
body could stand a lesson in ap
plied sportsmanship.
We think our own student body
displays poor sportsmanship occas
ionally. We remind them of their
shortcomings frequently and they
have improved tremendously this
year. But as imperfect as our pre
sent level is, you could learn a
great deal from our students.
We cordially invite you to come
over any night we play and see
how you can improve your sports
manship at basketball games.
