Department, and for that reason,
I know!that I will enjoy my work
here.” Those were the words of
Blaine Rideout, new athletic train
er, when he was asked to give his
impression of Aggieland.
Rideout arrive dlast week to
assume his new duties as train
er and physical therapist for the
Aggie athletic teams. Be comes
to A4M with an impressive rec
ord in sports and plenty of ex-.
peiience in this type of work.' 1
When Blaine entered the ser
vice in 1942, he was attached to
the Marine Corps and stationed at
i Navy hospital for two add one-
naif years where he received most
of his training in physical therapy.
After hjs discharge, he return
ed to Denton, the home of his
alma mater, North Texas State
Collegfe, and served as trainer
there for the college until {last
year when he accepted the posi
tion As track couch and B-jteam
coach Denton High School. He
served in this capacity until this
summer when he ^signed to take
the twiner’s job here.
Rideout arrived last week to
ords in track to his credit shar
ing two of them with his twin
brother, Wayne. These records
were set in the late thirties when
he and his brother were stepping
high* wide, and handsome on
tracks all over the world.

Bryan’s first official act as
president, was to announce the re
grets of the directors at Logan’s
resignation. He then made an ap
peal to the residents of Bryan for
funds to aid in continuation of

now, mainly because the attend
ance at the games) is too small,

would haye had large attendance
have been rained but, with a re
sulting loss in gate receipts, he
