In his talk he discussed the princi
ples of the Earth Heat Pump Air
Conditioning Unit
He pointed out that the heat
from the sun which is stored with
in approximately the first $ep
feet of tlje earth’s surface is a
great natural resource for heating
purposes. A heat pump using the
buried coil is a device which at
tempts to extract a part of the
sun’s energy thus stored, which
would otherwise be unused, Vestal
told the group.
After tie meeting, there follow-
ed an informal discussion of the
application of the heat pump to
specific problems.
