the landscape art department was
created and put under his (dirk--

In 1931 the campus and college
greenhouses were put under his
department, and in the sameye^r
the Care arid Maintenance Pf
Grounds Division was created and
added to his duties. More receijj-
ly he has accepted the muipten-
ance job of Easterwood Airport,
the Annex, and Vet Village No. 2.
During this time he has dong ex
tensive research on native orna
mentals in shrubs, trees, and vin

Hensel resides on the cam mis
with his wife, the former Miss Al a
Lee Jones of Temple* Texas, (whom
he married 32 years ago. They have
one son, Frederick William . Hdn-
sel, ’41, who is employed in the
Fiscal Office of the College,
that the veteran students take
themselves almost too! seriously."
“Almost without exception they
have made good gradei,” he stat
ed. “However, this seriousness has
had a good result, for it has help
ed the younger, non-veferans real
ize the importance of study and
learning.”
Hensel is optimistic over the
college student^ thanes of success
upop graduation, because as he put
it, ‘fmen with the least amount of
knowledge alwajys suffer first irt
depression.”
