Play Begins Today
Intramural softball will start
this afternoon at 5 o'clock on the
new drill field in back of Duncan
Mess Hall. Fourteen teams have
entered the competition which will
be of the round-robin type. Dormi
tories one thru twelve have each
entered a team while the Trailer
Camp and the Project House Areas
have both entered teams
Each team will complete a thir
teen game schedule by playing
from three to four games every

events, was presented to recipients
of the Major T awards.
Hereafter any minor sport mem
ber participating In swimming,
crons country, tennis, or golf, who
plsdes first In any conference event
will be swarded a Major T and the

ruling was made retroactive for
this year. Also members of con
ference championship teams, bowl
team participants, and national
championship teams will be presen
ted with s red and white enameled
gold figure symbolizing their
spective sport.
An expenditure of 860,000 for
construction of offices, training
rooms, and showers under the west
stands was also approved. Plans
were presented by the college arch
itect, and construction will begin
as soon as the Board of Directors
allot the money.

representative of the Former Stu
dents Association, was present for
the first time since his selection.
