Air Conditioning
Conference in June
The Third Annual Air Condit
ioning Conference to be held dur
ing June 8, 9, 10, and 11, is open
to anyone interested in any phase
of air conditioning, the Mechani
cal Engineering Department an
nounced.
An Executive Committee headed
by Reg F. Taylor, Consulting En-
engineer, Houston, Texas, with Bert
P. Fisher, Southern Furnace and
Supply Co., Houston, and Profes
sor Wayne E. Long, Mechanical
Engineering Department as co-
chairmen, have drawn up a tenta
tive program.
During the summers of 1939 and
1940 the conferences were held un
der the name of the Annual Air
Conditioning Short Course, but
with the continuation of the work
after the war the name has been
changed to clarify the meaning of
the meeting. It is not intended
that any attempt will be made to
teach the fundamentals of air con
ditioning but rather that common
probelms and new ideas be ex
changed.
Complete information relative to
the program will be published when
final arrangements are completed.
Further details of the conference
may be obtained from the chair
men, it was stated.
