Page 4 The Battalion Friday Afternoon, May 1, 1946 CLUBS WORLD STUDENT FUND PLANS CAMPUS DRIVE A drive to raise $1200 for the World Student Relief Fund has been comenced on the campus. A total of $250 has already been con tributed, but later in May a personal solicitation will be made in each dormitory. The World Serv ice Chairman is Charles Crabtree, and members of his committee are Gene Howard, Donald Hanks, Ray mond Parrish, Mrs. Roland Parker and Mrs. W. L. McCoy. Information about the fund is available from M. L. Cashion of the Y.M.C.A. FISH & GAME CLUB BARBECUE SATURDAY The annual barbecue of the Fish & Game Club will be held at Hensel Park Saturday evening im mediately after the T. u. baseball game. Members who lack transpor tation are asked to meet in front of the Animal Industries Building as soon as the game is over. The affair wil be “stag or drag” and members are invited to bring wives or girl friends as guests of the club. BIOLOGISTS TO HEAR DR. ASHTON MONDAY The Biology Club will meet Mon day, May 6, to hear Dr. John Ash ton on “The Three Most Potent Forces in the World”. The meeting will be held in the lecture room of Scmnce Hall. Everyone is invited, ana members are especially urged to be present. NEWMAN CLUB The Newman Club held its regu lar bi-monthly meeting last night in the New YMCA. Activities for •the month of May which will in clude Open Retreat, Box Supper and dance and a Dedication Ban quet were discussed. Hall will be used to provide accommodations for visiting girls attending the dances on FRIDAY and SATURDAY nights, 3 and 4 May, 1946. 2. Students having guests will be as sessed a charge of $1.00 per night per guest to cover cost of matron, maid serv ice, and other incidental expenses. Re funds cannot be made. 3. Guests staying in the dormitory must be in not later than 2 a.m., FRIDAY night and 1 a.m., SATURDAY night. Guests much check in with the matron upon their return to the dormitory after the dances. When reservations have been made for the guests, they will not be permitted to check out until departure for their homes. This will be done with the matron. Escorts will be held strictly accountable for compliance with these instructions. 4. Linen, towels, lights, etc., will be furnished by the College. Students will be held accountable for this equipment. 5. Guests will be admitted to their rooms at 4 p.m., FRIDAY, 3 May, and must be vacated by 11:30 a.m., Sunday, 6 May. The College cannot be responsible for personal property of any guest or student. 6.
