A detailed schedule has been provided in Ag- gieland’s advertisement today and all students are urged to clip this schedule for their own use. Experienced Staff The combined experience repre sented on the Aggieland Studio staff totals almost three quarters of a century. Joe Sosolik has al most 34 years of experience, George Lanicek, recently released from armed services, has 10 years experience, Charles Sosolik adds anothr 6 years to the total. Mrs. Mary Estill, retouch artist and general assistant, started with Ag gieland in 1919 the first year Ag gieland handled a Longhorn. Ex cept for two or three years out she has been continuously on the job helping to produce good an nuals. Miss Lolly Autrey, fresh man staff member, is now in her fourth year at Aggieland while Mrs. Bessie Hubacek has a round dozen years to her credit. Jack Green has 8 years in experience to add to the total. Thousands of Pictures Genial Joe says he has taken “thousands of Aggie pictures.” But that doesn’t mean that each picture isn’t a brand new assign ment with a challenge to it. “I take pride in my work. My staff works hard. We feel repaid when we see the book come out. That’s why I guess we get the contract each year,” Sosolik stated. A native Czecho Slovakian, oos- olik came to the States in 1911. Following service in World War I, from which he was discharged with medical disability, Mr. Sosolik came to Bryan and entered a part nership photographic studio with his brother. In 1921 he bought half interest in a studio that was locat ed on the site now occupied by the Aggieland Pharmacy, becoming sole owner of this establishment the following March. One year later fire destroyed the entire studio and Mr. Sosolik was given a location in the ME Build ing. When the Exchange Store was completed he occupied a studio on the second floor until he moved to his present building. Mr. Sosolik has made the ac quaintance of many hundreds of Aggies, of practically all who have graduated from A. & M. in fact. He says that this feature is the most attractive feature of his work and that wherever he goes now he finds Aggie friends. A special feature of the new Longhorn will be larger class pic- (See LONGHORN, Page 6) JOE SOSOLIK Again It’s Aggieland... Once again we are to have the pleasure of making the official pictures for the Longhorn. The Student Activities committee has renewed our contract as the photographer for your yearbook. This will be the 29th time since 1919 that we have been your photographer. These years of experience have been pleasant years; the coming one should be another opportunity for service to the great fraternity of Aggieland. Our pictures have stood the test of time because we put into them not only the experience that comes with 34 years of working with Aggies but each year we make a new resolve to do a better job than before.
