Albrecht, chair man of the Department of Soils of the University of Missouri at Columbia, will be the guest speak er at a meeting to be held in Gtiion Hall on Monday, October 2 at 10 a.m, Members of all the staffs of all divisions of the College as well as all cooperating Agricultural Agencies are cordially invited and urged to attend. Dr. Albrecht is both nationally and internationally famous for his technical and educational work in Soil Science. The study of agricul ture has taken him throughout the United States and Europe. For the past year Dr. Albrecht has been in great demand as a speaker, and he has travelled from coast to coast telling of the fascinating and vital relationship between the Soil and Personal and National Health. Dr. Albrecht’s topic for the meeting at Guion Hall will be “The Soil in Relation to Human Animal Health.” Following the meeting at College Station, Dr. Albrecht will speak daily at similar meetings at Dallas, Tyler, Houston, and Corpus Christ!. This activity is being sponsored by the A.A.A., Texas Extension Service, Texas Agricultural Exper iment Station, and other organi zations interested. Five Staff Members On AIEE Committees Five members of the Texas A. & M. College staff are on commit tees of the Houston section of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers for the coming year. Vice-President Frank C. Bolton is on the public relations committee, Prof. M. C. Hughes is on the pro gram and educational activities committee; Prof. L. M. Haupt is a member of the publications com mittee; A. R. Elliott, associate pro fessor, is on the executive and membership committee and G. 0. Phelps, associate professor, is on the attendance committee. College members' of the group attended the first meeting in the Electric Building, Houston, Sep tember 27, when Prof. R. W. War ner of the University of Texas spoke. He is national vice presi dent in charge of work in the sev enth geographical district, A. I. E. E.
