CLASS SECTIONS ON KYLE FIELD are diagramed above according the designations of the senior
class. Members of each class will sit only in the area designated for that class and no other. The sen
ior section is inviolate. The sailor area will be immediately to the south of the Aggie section and will
extend as far south as necessary.

Gridders Need Support of Entire Corps
Saturday afternoon Coach Hom
er Norton’s 1944 Aggies will blast
the lid of the football season,
a season we hope will bring the
Southwest Conference Champion
ship back to Aggieland. These boys
face a gruelling 11-game schedule,
a schedule which fails to have a
let up in it.
Although the boys are bigger

and older than they were last year,
the Aggies are far from being an
experienced team. The majority of
the boys are recent high school
graduates, as yet untried on the
college gridiron. They are going
to need the support which they de
serve form the Corps—that sup
port which all preceding Aggie
elevens have had.
The Corps is taking the game
with Bryan Air Field too lightly.
We may run over them again as
we did last year, or it may be a
close hard fought game. At any
rate, the entire Corps should stay
I here for this game.
Some two per centers, and mostly
Seniors at that, are planning to
leave early this week, before the
Bryan game. They will tell you
they have more important things
to do, and can’t wait over an extra
day or two.
In the old days, the Senior Class
at A. & M. we looked up to by the
rest of the student body. This still
holds true in many cases, but if
the Seniors leave before the ball
game, they will lose the respect of
the freshmen as well as the entire
corps.
That gall can wait an extra day
until you get home; in fact, she
may not even be as anxious to see
you as you think she is. Why not
show the- footballers we are really
the “Twelfth Man” by toning out
100% for the opening game.

0 UR SWEETHEART school
one again is enrolling a class of
freshmen which will soon turn into
typical Tessies after a few short
weeks. No one knows what it is
about that place that makes a girl
a Tessie but never-the-less they are
sweet to some people. Sweet pois
on.
Tessie Laments
When God passed out brains
I thought He said trains,
And I missed mine.
When the Lord passed out legs,
I thought he said kegs,
And asked for two short ones.
When He passed out the noses
I thought he said' roses,
And asked for a big red one.
When the Lord passed out ears,
I thought he said beers,
And ordered two tall ones.
Am I a mess!

Toasts for Tessie
Here’s to the girl who knows how
to kiss . . .
There are few I have met who
knew it,
If any girl here thinks she know
how to kiss,
I dare her to come up and do it.
Here’s to the girl I love
I wish that she were nigh,
If drinking beer would bring her
here,
I’d drink the whole place dry.
A Week of Holidays
\
0 NE MORE WEEK or less than
a week. A week of more doing
than has been done in a long time.
A week to rest and relax. Only
thing about this recreation is that
it takes a week or more to rest
after a few days of relaxation.
Kidding aside though, It is good
to have a few days respite from
the monotony of the classroom.
Everyone is stale and even if a
week isn’t enough it will do a lot
to freshen each individual’s out
look.

for the review Saturday. Com

spending their drill periods the
last week getting into shape and
putting on a last minute polish in
order to be ready for the review.
It has not been announced Whether
there will be competitive judging
for the best drilled organization.

“THE BEST-KNOWN VEHICLES IN AMERICA
What’s the best known vehicle on your college campus? You will
probably agree it’s the Railway Express truck. And one of the best-
liked men is the dependable Expressman who drives that truck*
There’s a good reason why these trucks are on the campus so fre
quently. It’s to serve your shipping needs. Express Service is a strong,
direct link with home.
Railway Express and its coordinated Air Express Division are
carrying a substantial shipping load these busy days. You can help the
Expressman and his vehicle do their job quicker and better by observ
ing three simple steps: Wrap your laundry or other packages securely
... address each clearly... ship them early. We know "A shipment
started right is half-way there.”
