Jewish Students and
Servicemen to Hold
Services in Bryan
Final plans for the Rosh Has-
hanah services have been made
and all the Hillel Club members
and Jewish, servicemen on the
campus are urged to attend, ac
cording to Hershell Lippman, pres
ident of the Hillel Club.
The celebration of the High
Holy Days will be held in Temple
Freda in Bryan, beginning with
the service on Sunday evening,
September 17, eight o’clock. A
special bus will leave the Y. M.
C. A. at 7:15 to carry those who
wish to attend in Bryan. On Mon
day morning at nine o’clock serv
ices will be held again in the Tem
ple, and the special bus will leave
the Y. M. C. A. at 8:15. Although
services will be held again on
Tuesday morning at nine o’clock,
no special bus has as yet been ar
ranged. '
Lippman further pointed out
that no authorized absences from
any classes will be granted by the
commandant’s office because the
holidays fall so close to the end
of the semester. The club president
suggests that members who at
tend the services arange with their

GRADUATING SENIORS: By noon
Thursday, September 21, there will be
posted on a bulletin board in the Regis
trar’s Office a list of those seniors who
have completed all of the requirements for
a degree and who are eligible to receive a
diploma. This bulletin will remain posted
through Friday, September 22. Every can
didate is urged to consult it to determine
his status. Each student may obtain his
diploma at the Registrar’s Office between
the hours of 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. Friday,
September 22, since there will be no com
mencement exercises.

MEMORANDUM TO: All occupants of
Ross Hall, and all concerned.
1. This building, Ross Hall, will be
fumigated with- cyanide gas from 12:00
noon, Saturday, 16 September 1944, until
8:00 a.m., Monday, 18 September 1944.
2. All persons will leave the building
promptly at noon Saturday, and will not
re-enter same until 8:00 a.m., Monday, 18
September 1944.
3. Temporary headquarters for Com
mandant’s Office, Guard Room, and Head
quarters ROTC a nd ASTU, will be locat
ed at “B” Ramp, Charge of Quarters
Room, in Hart Hall, telephone number
4-8804.
4. Any student that requires an emer
gency pass may obtain some at Charge
of Quarters Room, Hart Hall.
5. Sunday’s mail will be delivered to
Charge of Quarters Room, Hart Hall. All
incoming long distance calls for students
will be routed to 4-8804. All official Army
long distance calls will be routed to either
Lt. Colonel A. J. BENNETT’S quarters,
telephone number 4-5829, or to Colonel
M. D. WELTY’S quarters, telephone num
ber 4-1123.
6. The Chief Watchman will be furnished
with master key that will admit him to
all rooms in the building. These keys
are to be issued by him to the workmen
who are fumigating.
7. All persons are warned that they
should not get near the building during
this fumigation period, as the gas is very
poisonous. Watchmen will be maintained
to warn visitors and others throughout
the period of fumigation.
