Ex-Batt Editor Is
In Denver Hospital
According to latest reports Lt.
R. L. Doss, ex-Aggie of the class
of ’39, expects to be released from
the Fitzsimmons General Hospital,
Denver, Colorado, within the next
few months.
R. L. “Cueball” Doss, was editor
of the Batt in 1939. He was secre
tary of the Student Welfare Com
mittee. He was in Who's Who in
American Universities and Col
leges. “Cueball” was also a prom
inent member of the debate club.
“Cueball” resigned from school
to become a city reported on the
Sherman Democrat, and later the
sports editor of the Denison Her
ald, in the year 1937. He quit and
returned to school in the same year
and graduated in 1939 with an
M. S. degree.
His father and mother, Mr. and
Mrs. T. G. Doss, live in White-
write, Texas, where Mr. Doss is a
printer-editor.

Laws on June 29, with State Sena
tor Carl L. Lovelady, presiding.
Problems of concern to all school
executives and students of school
administration will be discussed
fully in panel type meetings, with
each session having a leader and
several assistants selected from
among the outstanding educators
of Texas. Each session will have
an assigned subject and the busi
ness program just released by Dean
Brooks lists the major problems
confronting the schools of the
State at the present time.
A business session will conclude
the conference near noon June 29,
at which there will be reports from
standing committees and election
of association officers for the com
ing year.

Later on there will be an elec
tion for junior yell-leaders and to
hold the run-offs. There should be
more voters in this than in the
electiojn held yesterday, as the
competition will be keener. Also,
an abnormally small number voted
yesterday. Only three-hundred and
ten votes were counted. This is at
tributed to the large number of
positions for which there was only
one candidate.
