However, plans have been made and the next prom will be held on Satur day, August 1. It has finally been agreed that sophomores will be required to bring dates to prevent the usual unmatched numbers that results in too many stags, Stevens stated. Graham favored refunding the $90,000 road and bridge fund debt, of which $54,000 has been paid in three years, with two more payments of $18,000 to be made, in 1943 and 1944. Graham has worked and voted for reduced county ad valorem taxes and the tax rate has been reduced 20 cents per $100 since he has been a member of the county com missioners court.
