The Twilight League has been shelved temporarily pending the action of the Executive commit tee because the operation of the league would conflict slightly with studies during a regular semester of school. Axs't Intramural Director Intramural Dept In Search for Soph Departmental Mgrs ’ The Intramural Department is desperately in need of sophomores to work as Sophomore Depart mental Intramural Managers for the current year. The duties of this position are to run-off and of ficiate the various intramural games. The sophomores will work di rectly for the Intramural Depart ment but will be able to play with their organizations in almost all cases. All men who are employed will be expected to work at least three afternoons per week. The awards consist of a sweater for sophomore managers; a pen and pencil set for juniors; and a gold watch for senior managers. Any sophomores interested in working for the Intramural De partment as departmental man agers can talk things over with Spike” White at the Intramural Club Room in the northeast corner of the gym. Defense Courses Will Be Offered Second Lieut’s on Arrival Civilian defense courses offered by A. & M. under the di recti cm of J. T. L. Me New of the civil en gineering department have pre sented over 1,700 certificates to men in 30 cities and towns of Texas. By June 20, a number of army second lieutenants are ex pected to arrive at College Station for a course in radio location in coordination with the signal corps. One of the heaviest courses deals with training of men for the air craft industry. The college main tains a Houston office in room 823 of the Commerce building. There are 2,417 men attending the 62 courses now being offered.
